Often unilateral lumbar and hip issues have a loss of hip flexion and IR. A quick and completely pain free technique is the Psoas inhibition with diaphragmatic breathing. This works very well and is much better than pin and stretch, deep techniques or bottoms up kettle gut punches (yes, I've seen that in social media). After 3 or 4 deep slow exhales, re-test hip flexion and IR, it's often much better, now they can load using eccentric goblet squats and repeated hip flexion in standing/lying to groove the new motion.
