Today, I’m going to share some of the changes and milestones in my business over the past few months. I know some people won’t be happy to hear this, because they think it isn’t possible for them. But really, it’s possible for anyone. So many of our mastermind members are hitting milestone months!
[00:00:00] Welcome to the Aaron LaBauer Show. This is the number one show for passionate physical
[00:00:09] therapy and healthcare entrepreneurs looking to level up their income and impact on the
[00:00:14] world. If that's you, then you're in the right place. So sit back, chill out and let's get
[00:00:20] into the show. I can tell you, I'm gonna tell you a little bit about what we do. I want to tell you about some of the results we got too, but we meet in person for two days. And so we met in Park City for two days at Courtyard Marriott and we masterminded together. But here's some of the results I think are just incredibly
[00:01:40] amazing. We had a therapist there who's been doing PT for 20-something years, see the value and you know at the same time people will roll up in like a BMW Mercedes and be like that's too expensive. Well it's like who values what you're doing and so I just want to share it like that's dope you know and then she's also got a bottleneck of you know time and and and helping people and working on some marketing pieces but you know okay great like she's crushing it
[00:03:02] in the middle of nowhere. There's a dollar leads on Facebook are really hard. That's something you could do eight years ago, but these days I'm happy with $20 a lead because I know I can make more money on the back end.
[00:04:22] And then Maria stayed for the optional ski.
[00:04:25] And so we hadatted on our new patient strategy call back in like August, he was like, well, I don't open till December.
[00:05:42] I was like, well, how long do you wanna wait
[00:05:43] to start helping people?
[00:05:45] And so he started open, 44k in January and as a solo therapist, I think that's like 5,000 or 5 or 6,000 in online sales for a shoulder program He's doing and he's hustling his ass to put together programs and he's selling at high prices in Denver Doing something a lot of people don't think is possible and don't think is real
[00:07:02] He's also only a couple years out of school
[00:07:06] So look I led with Mary because Mary's been doing this for a while helps them feel better about the amount of time and money they've spent studying stuff. The difference between some of these young guys and some of you more seasoned physical therapists is that they're prioritizing lifestyle and they're prioritizing learning business. While everyone else is prioritizing being a great clinician and the best clinician,
[00:08:23] great clinicians don't make more money. You know, that was a lot. But if I can help you go from zero to 25 patients a week or even take your business from 50 patients a week to 200 patients a week, like now I've magnified my impact by helping you magnify your impact. So let me tell you another story.
[00:09:40] There's another one of our members, Sarah Martinez.
[00:09:43] She's got four kids.
[00:09:45] She's not a brand new PT
[00:09:48] by any stretch of the imagination. two kids. Much less four. That's not the kind of parent I am, you know, but that's what they're doing and she's already hired someone else. She's working on, you know, finding the right fit therapist to treat her patients and to grow APPS told you you couldn't and you were like, yeah, I can't. Or maybe you have to unlearn things. I can tell you this, the people that have been in business the longest have the most to gain but the most work to do.
[00:12:22] Alan Ling is, if you've listened to the podcast
[00:12:26] long enough, you've heard me interview him. Alan and I decided to do some private coaching together and we basically took a $10,000 VIP day and split it into two sessions where first session was with him and then or actually three sessions I did a session with him and then I just session with him and his team Talk about selling physical therapy and helping them get the mindset around charging cash for PT
[00:13:42] And then we did a second session about six weeks ago where it was with him his PTs and front desk
[00:14:45] years. It's taken him a long time to move the needle and he still has room to go. He still could be charging more in, especially in California. I think they're doing like
[00:14:51] 100 bucks every 30 minutes. They should be doing at least 150 every 30 minutes. But when
[00:14:58] you've got more momentum, you've got a bigger ship, it's harder to turn it. At the same
[00:15:02] time when you come out the gate from PT school going, but if someone can take a strategy and improve it and teach it back to us, then we can move even faster.
[00:16:20] And so we do that.
[00:16:22] And that's what we do most of the rally car with you telling you which way to turn. First thing we have to do is go up into the helicopter and find the bottleneck. And we did this in two different ways. First day and second day. The second day we did an implementation hour where it was really open up your computer and let's find something that it's been taking you months to figure out or it's going to
[00:17:40] take you 45 minutes to do and you just need someone looking over your shoulder.
[00:17:43] And we looked over the shoulder for people doing their automations and DPT through about five card and write down a number. And this is the number that which if you could make this per year, you'd have more than enough for yourself and more than enough to give away. I want you to know what that number is because when we're creating a game plan in our program, we're looking at like, where do we wanna be in a year or three years?
[00:19:01] But I never really wanna hit that three year number
[00:19:04] because I always want that to move out.
[00:19:06] But a lot of people struggle with going, to it and go, okay, if I could make that much, how much more good in the world could I do? Write that number down and look at it. And I can tell you what, there's people out there in the world that look at that and go, that's not enough. It's just not enough. But you weren't trained to think like that. Probably family, school, like even the school system just wants you to have a big goal, and then we've got to work backwards from it. Because if I know where you are now and where you want to be in the future, then we can reverse engineer a plan to get you there. And that's what we do in that second day, where everyone leaves with a 90-day game plan with one project to make their business better, one project to make money, and a couple other projects when those get done.
[00:21:40] There's a lot to do, but you don't have to do it all.
[00:21:43] You have to do that one thing. million because, yeah, probably a million because of the number of people I've seen on there and the number, uh, amount of dollars it's allowed me, um, to generate by treating people on it. But at the time that was an expensive purchase, you know? And what happened was I had someone say, Hey, well I couldn't possibly spend a hundred dollars a week, um,
[00:23:00] to get started in your course. I couldn't possibly spend, you know, I need to see patients
[00:23:04] first, right? Like I get it. The objection is probably you don't think cash is going is like how do we do it, but really this whole idea is big goals. Invest in the right things to grow your business for years to come because whether we're hanging on this podcast or not, if you learn one or two tools or strategies from the podcast, my book, or enrolling a coaching program with me, they're going to stay with you until you're done in PT, but
[00:24:23] you don't even have to stop using them in PT. You can use them to sell online courses Aaron's a red-headed PT who went and learned business outside of our industry and brought it to PT so I could help people grow and scale a cash-based business. When everyone told me it was impossible. And now there's so many people teaching it, like no one really realizes it's impossible
[00:25:41] like it was.
[00:25:42] They think it's hard for them.
[00:25:45] But the landscape has changed. And so if you're really good at something, whether if it's mentoring other PTs, teaching Con Ed, doing shoulder programs, internet programs, et cetera, like that's also something like we can work on or you can work on, you should be doing. You should be teaching what you know to other people. And if you wanna sell something online, you gotta have a presence online,
[00:27:02] or you're just gonna, you know,
[00:27:04] you can sell it locally to people,
[00:27:05] but just understand that the opportunity
[00:27:08] is out there help you. If you try to do it on your own, you might probably get there. Just imagine if you could get there faster with less mistakes and avoiding the same million dollar mistakes that I've made and I've helped our clients avoid.
[00:28:20] What if you could just do it even better?
[00:28:23] If you can and you feel like you're okay with a mentor and a coach because you've had one
