Collect the Money (Part 1)

Collect the Money (Part 1)

"You aren't doing anybody any favors by not collecting what is owed."

I've made the mistake.... many times.... of being passive and timid around collecting over the counter payments in my business.

"What if they get upset with me?"
"What if they can't afford it? They will leave."

For a long time, I let this fear and insecurity around money dictate the financial health of my business.

What I didn't realize, until later, was that by not collecting over the counter payments appropriately:

- I was robbing my company of growth.
- I was robbing my employees of growth.
- I was robbing my family and household income.

If you are in network private practice then your over the counter payments will make up greater than 20% of your gross revenue. That is a TON of money!

And you've sacrifice too much to just give it all away. You deserve every single bit of it.

So.... "leave your money issues at home and do not project them onto your patients."

Collect what is due because it's the right thing to do.

Be Blessed,
