🔥Easy Relief for TMJ and Facial Pain🔥
TMJ patients often have tender and hypertonic masseters. Instead of dropping needles in, or using painful trigger point release, try this simple and pain free technique first. Find a tender point and simply slack the skin together. In the masseter's case, slack superior to inferior. You can also lightly twist the skin clockwise or counterclockwise, this helps further reduce tone/tenderness. Hold this lightly for 30-60 seconds and then lightly/slowly release the hold. The patient may now better tolerate movement and other manual treatments like joint mobilizations. Prescribe home resets like cervical retraction + mandible protraction hourly. Hope this helps!
