🔥Modified Hips Offset with Overpressure for Sciatica and Unilateral Low Back Pain🔥
This is one of my favorite variations on the classic prone press up with hips offset for unilateral loading. Getting the patient into the "roadkill" position is much easier. Just position their affected hip side (same side as leg/radiating/unilateral pain) into hip abduction as far as they can tolerate and knee flexion. Like how a frog swims but unilaterally. You can then overpressure this by pulling their ribs toward you and pushing the pelvis away assuming you're standing on the raised LE side. Slowly apply pressure until at end range loading, hold for a few seconds and slowly release. This often provides great relief for radiating LE pain. You can then hold the overpressure after a few sets and progress to prone on elbows or full press ups in this position. This should enable them to perform this or even sideglides in standing for home progress as threat free as possible. Hope this helps! Are you a patient in need of my help?
