Pretest for Neurodynamic Dysfunction

How do you know if a patient has the capacity to fully pass a neurodynamic test? Passive testing with overpressure should be checked in each component (joint) of the test outside of the actual neurodynamic pattern. In other words, if the patient has full PROM in each joint isolated from the rest, you should be able to restore full range in the neurodynamic test position within the same session. This can be done with IASTM along the nerve pattern, compression wrapping, mobilization to each joint, or a combination of the above. Treating outside the painful/threatening pattern often restore threat free motion without provoking the complaints. Want to see the full 24 minute mini case?
