If you have stiffness in your neck or upper traps and stretching and regular movement isn’t getting rid of it, try this!
🔵Tuck your chin like an ugly guy is coming in to kiss you
🔵Place both your hands behind your head like you are going to do some crunches
🔵from the chin tuck position, start to tilt your head/neck backward - normally this may cause some tightness or a compression feeling in the lower neck and upper mid back
🔵using your hands, provide light resistance to the head/neck extension motion, just enough to make it light work, but not so much that the neck/shoulders become tense
🔵the light resistance often completely eliminates the feelings of tightness/compression so that you can extend all the way until your forehead is parallel to the ceiling - if that is your normal motion that is
Repeat this motion with the light resistance only into extension 10 reps hourly or enough to stay ahead of your neck ache/stiffness. Regular changes of position and going to daily outdoor walks also help this a lot! Hope this helps!
