Manual Therapy for Shoulder External Rotation

đź‘€Manual Therapy for Shoulder External Rotationđź‘€
Limited overhead mobility or shoulder impingement issues? An often performed effective but painful technique is to the subscapularis. I would know, I used to pin and stretch it aggressively for years and even taught that. Did it improve motion, yes, but it hurt. In my courses, I teach using isometrics and other methods of pain modulation to make any uncomfortable technique into very tolerable or even pain free. After restoring ER and shoulder overhead mobility, load it up with some overhead carries or end range resisted shoulder elevation isometrics or walking isometrics. Hope this helps!
