Lumbar Sideglides to Improve Hip Mobility and Squats

The PT in this case had hip and LE pain with squatting and cycling. She fit the Clinical Practice Patterns of having decreased anterior tilt and lumbar sidebending to the same side of pain (inability to load the involved side) and also having a loss of hip flexion and IR on the same side. I use lumbar sidegliding/shift correction with isometrics to modulate pain during loading. After several reps of end range loading her hip flexion and IR (shown), squat and hip mobility all had improved significantly. I then show her how to do her own sideglides in standing against a wall to continue to self treat. Are you a patient in need of my help?
