The hardest part about learning how manual therapy works is changing your well versed explanations that make sense. Sure it "makes sense" that we can deform fascia, put things back into place, stretch tight muscles and break up scar tissue. Only none of those things are really happening. The treatments are effective for improving mobility and modulating pain, but there are little to no actual mechanical effects. We have known that for years. So you can keep your treatments, it's the explanations for why they work, and why they are transient in nature that should be changed. It's not easy, but you otherwise are perpetuating a false narrative that makes it harder for other clinicians. You can learn my easy and effective system by joining MMT Insiders and getting access to exclusive courses on Lumbopelvic Management, Cervicogenic Headache Management and more! https://modmt.com/join Hope this helps!
