This is the evolution of the normally painful pin and stretching for overhead mobility. If you simply resist shoulder ABD and ER in flexion or scaption, it inhibits the subscapularis through reciprocal inhibition. After a few sets of light 3-5 second resistance, overhead mobility can be restored and ready to load with overhead carries or similar strengthening exercises.
