😎Improve Overhead Mobility with Pain Free Subscapularis Inhibition😎
Forget painful pin and stretching😫😫! No need for aggressive soft tissue techniques. They may improve mobility, but it's the pain and aggressiveness that aren't needed!
🔵Place your fist inferior to the axilla and posterior to midline, no need to "palpate" the actual subscapularis
🔵 use your fist to stabilize the scapula and then elevate the arm passively into abduction and external rotation
🔵have the patient lightly resist external rotation, which will inhibit the subscapularis
🔵after you feel some decrease in tone, elevate the arm passively again to the new barrier, repeat 3-4 reps or until end range
🔵re-test overhead mobility and then load it with overhead carries or external rotation exercises!
