I recently posted a informative post from @zach.walston that generated conversation about posture. I wanted to share my story about how I went from correcting every spinal patientâs posture and mandating lumbar rolls to barely talking about it at all. When I do talk posture, I am educating on the following points
đ”there no good and bad positions like there are no good and bad movements or exercises
đ”positions, like exercises and activities can add up if you donât change them often
đ”regular change of positions throughout the day are needed in addition to the right program, to relieve spinal pain
đ”the only position weâre supposed to maintain for long periods of time is sleeping and even then you change positions regularly
đ”a few walks a day are a great way to prevent sensitivity from ramping up for spinal pain
