A lot of people and clinicians still think running somehow increases arthritis. That would be like saying lunging or mini hops would also cause wear and tear. Running is simply a series of acceleration and decelerations. It's repetitive, but ultimately, GOOD for your knees. A study looked at 3 groups, non runners, current runners, and people who had run at any point in their lives, but stopped running. Those who ran and had run at some point had LESS osteoarthritis than those who do not run. #stopthoughtviruses #physicaltherapy #physiotherapy #running
