đź‘€Combining Breathing and Manual Therapy for Persistent Headachesđź‘€
The PT in the course had headaches daily from life/nursing her baby and work. She was able to get relief and tune down her nervous system from a sustained cervical subcranial distraction (i.e. skull crusher) with emphasis to the left upper cervical spine. Combined with belly breathing and emphasis on long slow exhales, she was able to relax. I also taught her OA nods - cervical rotation to the left 10 deg, light head nods repeatedly throughout the day, not looking at her baby the entire time she is nursing and frequent changes in position. She was able to reduce the frequency of her headaches by over 75% after just a quick session in the course and patient education.
