Ankle Manual Therapy to Improve Low Back Pain and Squat

This PT had a history of LBP, glute pain and difficulty with SL stance, DL, and squats on the left side. In addition to improving her lumbar and hip motion with lumbar sideglides to the left, I also assessed her lateral tibial glide. This test easily becomes a reset and often dramatically improves ankle dorsiflexion and SL stance/stability. Her Recovery Plan initially is lumbar sideglides to the left hourly along with lateral tibial glides. Also a healthy dose of not overdoing it and grading her way back to running and lifting.
