Most clinicians worry about ankle dorsiflexion, and they often mobilize the talocrural joint. But the subtalar joint is tri-planar. My popular lateral tibial glide test/reset improves dorsiflexion and CKC load, and this is perfect compliment to that. Moving the tibia laterally over the talus corresponds in CKC to the calcaneus rocking laterally (eversion). Checking this on the involved side with a lack of dorsiflexion, you'll often find that this is limited as well. Rock it a few times and re-check dorsiflexion.
