Amazing Lumbar Disc Model with Reducing Blue Nucleus
This is a custom lumbar spine model my I had made from Dynamic Disc Designs. I always hated the big red Thought Virus/Nocebo protruding red nucleus on every spine model. So I had one made with a nice looking blue nucleus. Turns out it works like the old school Jelly Donut Theory for lumbar flexion/extension. I use this to reduce fear avoidance, particular in lumbar loading/extension. While it may not be entirely accurate for how the mechanics work for herniations, it gets patients moving and that's the most important part.
