🔥An Active Way to Restore Lumbar Extension🔥
A recent low back pain patient had to do hours of shoveling during the recent Blizzard in Buffalo. He came in very flexed, unable to stand upright. One of the main things that got him able to walk upright, plus restore lumbar lordosis in sitting was isometric lumbar extensions in sitting progressing to active resisted lumbar extension. Prior to this strategy, I had used Helix with IASTM, prone lumbar P/A and gentle lumbar rocking. While these reduced pain, they were not able to restore any extension. Upon leaving, he was able to perform Repeated Extension in Standing and had only stiffness during the motion. Hope this helps!
